To ‘ride the wave’ means to enjoy a period of success and good fortune… and this year the Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS) is heading back to Noosa to ride another wave in the field of cataract and refractive surgery.

Registration is now open for this popular Australian and New Zealand anterior segment specialists’ meeting, which is being held at the new Macquarie Conference Centre-Peppers, Noosa on Australia’s beautiful east coast from the 17 to 20 October 2018.

AUSCRS president Professor Graham Barrett says plans are already underway to ensure this year’s programme will once again raise the bar to offer inspiring experience and education to provide patients with the very best outcomes. The impressive list of invited speakers is long, including Gold Medal Lecture recipient Professor Thomas Kohnen from the Department of Ophthalmology at Goethe University in Frankfurt. Prof Kohnen leads a team helping more than 35,000 patients annually, with the Goethe University Hospital being one of the busiest teaching hospitals in Germany.
