Huschka Vision has released its “Smarter Specs”, the world's first patented glasses with concave lenses.

The concave lenses allow users to wear the spectacles up higher on the nose bridge and look over them without having to tilt their heads down, easing neck strain, financial backer and commercialisation agent Edison Nation said in a statement.

“The launch of Smarter Specs marks our first entrance into the massive eyewear market, which is expected to grow to a staggering US$177 billion-dollar industry by 2023,” said Edison Nation CEO Chris Ferguson. “Given the strong initial demand, we plan to introduce three additional styles in the first quarter of 2019.”

Edison Nation, helps independent innovators commercialise their ideas and inventions. To date it has received 100,000 idea submissions, resulting in more than US$250 million in retail sales.
