Zeiss’ new Adaptive Sun tinted lenses quickly adapt their colour intensity to the given light conditions, with a base tint, photochromic technology and, of course, full UV protection.

As outdoor light intensity can change quickly, Zeiss’ new sun lenses use a ‘from dark to darker’ system, according to the company. These prescription sun lenses offer an initial light absorption of 60% and, if light conditions change, the lenses will darken by up to 97% absorption in just 18-35 seconds.

The lenses are available in three colours, with either a full or gradient tint: grey, brown, or ‘pioneer’ (grey-green) in both non-polarised and polarised versions.
