Okia has released an upgraded version of Reshape, the brand’s eyewear collection made from upcycled plastic bottles.

Launched in 2019, Reshape frames are made from transforming five plastic bottles into one durable, flexible and eco-friendly frame, said Okia.

Compared to the 450 years it takes for a plastic water bottle to decompose in a landfill, Reshape can break down into carbon dioxide, water and biomass after a five-year biodegradation process. Every piece in the Reshape collection, including the upcycled plastic cleaning cloth and upcycled plastic eyewear pouch, are biodegradable, said the company.
