The winner of the 2018 Ocular Therapeutics Conference (OTC) survey was Whangaparaoa-based optometrist Graeme Cole.

Cole’s survey responses on the 2018 conference and suggestions for 2019 were judged top by the Ocular Therapeutics Conference committee in an anonymous assessment arranged by conference organiser, Angie Rawlinson of Many Hats. Rawlinson said the committee wanted to gain feedback from all participants to ensure the success of future conferences so offered delegates the chance to win a prize for the best survey responses.

Cole won a ‘Dans le Noir?’ dinner - a unique dining experience where patrons are given three courses and matching wines in complete darkness, guided and served by low vision or blind people, at Rydges Hotel in Auckland.

Rawlinson said the committee would also like to once again thank this year’s OTC sponsors, Alcon, Corneal Lens Corporation, Ophthalmic Instrument Company, OptiMed, AFT Pharmaceuticals, Blackmores, Designs for Vision and Device Technologies, for their support of the conference.

Next year’s Ocular Therapeutics Conference will be held on 17 March 2019 at the Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre in Auckland, so make sure you save the date!
