The Association of Dispensing Opticians of New Zealand’s (ADONZ’s) 2018 conference is now open for registration. Following a successful turnout in Christchurch last year, the conference returns to Auckland this year, at the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre, from 26-28 October 2018.

This year’s flamboyant theme is ‘Las Vegas’ and, as usual, the conference programme is packed with top dispensing education and optometry business-focused sessions. Confirmed speakers include James Gibbins and Chedy Kalach from the Australasian College of Optical Dispensing (ACOD) who will be providing some hot tips for successful dispensing and practice management; Victoria Lessing from sign-language experts Merge NZ who will share some insights on becoming a deaf-friendly business; optometrist Niall McCormack who will discuss children in the digital age; Associate Professor Jennifer Craig who will manage a session on triaging and advising dry eye patients; and many more.

The conference is open to dispensing opticians and students and, this year, will host the much-anticipated graduation ceremony for New Zealand students who have completed the ACOD optical dispensing course.
