Specsavers’ growth continues

Specsavers announced another record-breaking year in its 2017/18 annual review, with global revenue rising 7% to £2.61 billion, including total UK revenue of £1.39 billion and A$947 million in Australia (10% up on last year), in the year to 28 February 2018.

The company reported an average of A$2.92 million of sales for each of its 324 stores in Australia, and $2.46 million for its 52 stores in New Zealand. The total number of glasses sold in the 2017/18 year in New Zealand was 443,000 pairs and 4.3 million in Australia; and total eye tests completed, 2,578,137 in New Zealand and 18,767,495 in Australia.
