The inaugural Women In Optometry leadership summit, Flex your Superpowers, will be held at the University of Missouri’s College of Optometry on June 19th.  

The summit’s website says it aims to help female optometrists achieve success in leadership, negotiation balance and self-care. It also promotes opportunities to connect with, support and motivate other women in the profession.

Keynote speaker Amina AlTai is a holistic business and mindset coach and corporate trainer, and an Entrepreneur expert-in-residence and prolific article writer.

The event also comprises two Live Your Best Life panels. Former American Optometric Association president Dori Carlson will moderate the Professional Panel discussion with women optometrists on leadership, creating the best professional opportunities for yourself, your patients, your community and the profession.

Californian optometrist Melissa Barnett will moderate a second panel of women optometrists who will share their strategies for prioritising to create balance in their lives.
