Australian-based frame and optical accessory distribution company Healy Optical Group has gone into voluntary liquidation. “The business is continuing to trade and we are working with the liquidators to explore a variety of options to sell or restructure the business,” the company said in a statement.

Healy Optical was founded by David Healy in New South Wales nearly 45 years ago. “Due to David’s ongoing health issues, he and his family were left with no other alternative than to make this extremely difficult decision,” the company continued.

Healy Optical’s brands include Tom Ford, Roberto Cavalli, Tods, Dsquared2, Lafont, Swarovski, Mont Blanc, Balenciaga & Cat, Elle, Charmant, Esprit, Aristar and Valmax. “We invite customers to continue to purchase stock that is currently available and liaise with their sales representatives to make purchases,” the company said, noting all product sold during this transitional period will still be covered by manufacturing warranty.

Michael Hogan and Brendan Copeland of HoganProwles have been appointed as liquidators.
