Kiwi Uber riders, however, aren’t just leaving their specs behind. They have left everything from medical certificates to guitars and lightsabers, while Londoners have left an array of more random items including a stuffed fox, a parrot (living) and even an inflatable Zimmer frame. And it’s not just taxis and Uber drivers who are left with odd items, one London underground traveller left his prosthetic leg behind, according to Metro UK!

But we’re not just losing our specs through forgetfulness, eyewear is also in the top 10 list of stolen items replaced by insurers, appearing in a respectable third place on AMI’s list of items regularly pinched from cars and homes.

Returning to Uber’s lost list, Kiwi riders are most likely to lose their personal possessions on a Friday or Saturday evening, between 8pm and 1am. So, if you’re planning a night out, hang on to your lightsaber and may the specs be with you!
