A breakthrough in virtual eyewear technology – the vmPRO from PlanetVA – allows users to discover how frames will look on their face by simply taking a selfie.

The new app creates a 3D face model of the user in seconds, using the latest artificial intelligence algorithms to allow the user to see how frames and even lenses will look, thanks to a unique reflection simulation.

PlanetVA founder Ludwig Heymbeeck said: “Our commitment and focus on creating the ultimate mobile experience allows retailers both online and in-store to provide the most robust and efficient virtual try-on experience to date.”

Heymbeeck added that the company also plans to introduce additional features to the vmPRO, such as accurate optical measurements, by the end of this year.
