Ocular Therapeutics Conference update

January 25, 2018 NZ Optics

Registration is open for the 2018 Ocular Therapeutics Conference. The conference will be held on Sunday 11 March at the Waipuna Conference Centre in Auckland and promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s successful inaugural conference.

This year’s conference includes a special session on dry eye and the outcomes of the TFOS’ second dry eye workshop (DEWS II) from the workshop’s vice chair, Associate Professor Jennifer Craig, plus presentations on prescribing, drug interactions and side effects, therapeutics for posterior segment diseases and anterior segment therapeutics. A wide range of exciting topics will be covered in several 12-minute, rapid-fire sessions and interactive panel discussions, says Dr Ilva Rupenthal, head of the Buchanan Ocular Therapeutics Unit (BOTU) at the University of Auckland, which is organising the conference. “All of these topics will not only enhance your everyday practice but will also offer an opportunity to apply for a full day of clinical diagnosis and enhancement points.”
