Younger’s new chameleon effect
Like the chameleon, NuPolar infinite adapts to changes in light conditions

Younger’s new chameleon effect

Younger Optics has launched NuPolar Infinite, a prescription, grey polarised photochromic sun lens that automatically reacts to changing light conditions varying between a light grey 60% tint to dark grey 91% tint.

Younger is promoting the launch with a new campaign featuring a chameleon, which has two layers of cells under its skin loaded with tiny nanocrystals. Chameleon’s can instinctively expand and reduce the distance between these nanocrystals to reflect different coloured light, lightening or darkening their skin colour in just a few seconds allowing them to adapt to their environment.

Like the chameleon, NuPolar Infinite is the master of adaptability and versatility by naturally responding to changes in light conditions, said Craig Johnston, Younger Optics ANZ sales and marketing manager. “This is a very exciting product release for us because it’s the lens customers have been asking us to create for years. Finally, we have a photochromic sun lens utilising NuPolar polarisation technology in the most popular lens colour, grey.”

The NuPolar Infinite campaign builds on the successful branding refresh for NuPolar in 2017, which demonstrated the power of polarised vision using the dragonfly.

To support practices in-store, free NuPolar Infinite point-of-sale (POS) is available including a window poster, window decal to add depth and interest to the window poster and a counter card. The NuPolar patient brochure has been updated to include NuPolar Infinite. Practices can also order social media content and digital advertising. NuPolar Infinite is available in hard resin 1.50 initially, in a prescription range of -8.50 to +6.00. A polycarbonate release will follow shortly.
