Zeiss innovation award contender

Zeiss engineers Michelangelo Masini and Frank Seitzingertogether with Professor Andreas Raabe from the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland, have been nominated for the Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2020 (The Federal President's Award for Innovation and Technology).  

 

The team was nominated for their project, The Robotic Visualisation System (Zeiss’s Kinevo 900), for improving medicine through robotics and multi-layered augmentation 

 

“We are delighted that a Carl Zeiss Meditec project has been nominated for this prestigious award,” said Ludwin Monz, Carl Zeiss Meditec CEO. “This underscores our aspiration to create market-shaping innovations that improve patients' quality of life and help shape medical progress.” 

 

The winner will be announced on 25 November 2020
