Zeiss has launched CT Lucia 621P/PY, a new-generation aspheric monofocal c-loop intraocular lens (IOL) within its hydrophobic portfolio.

“The patented asphericity concept of the Zeiss CT Lucia is designed to mitigate against potential decentration issues while still providing excellent visual outcomes,” said Franziska Klatt, Zeiss ANZ's surgical cataract product manager. “It comes in a fully preloaded injector system for an easy and intuitive cataract workflow.”

The architecture of the IOL enables very stable positioning in the capsular bag for enhanced stability, consistent visual outcomes and intuitive injector handling, said the company. The new IOL will be rolled out first in New Zealand followed by Australia.
