O=Mega23 – putting Australian optometry on the world stage

July 8, 2022 Staff reporters

Coming together for the first time, O=Mega23, the largest clinical conference and trade show for optometry in the Southern Hemisphere, and the fourth World Congress of Optometry will firmly plant Australian optometry on the world stage next year, say organisers.

Delayed from 2021, due to Covid, the joint event in Melbourne from 8-10 September 2023, stems from a partnership between the Optical Distributors & Manufacturers Association of Australia (ODMA), Optometry Victoria South Australia and the World Council of Optometry. Featuring high-quality learning and the largest eyewear and eyecare trade fair in Australasia, the events are expected to attract more than 2,000 eyecare professionals plus practice staff, optical retailers, service providers, technicians and students to Australia over three days.
