The Ocular Therapeutics Conference (OTC) is returning to its pre-Covid, one-day conference format on Sunday 12 February at the University of Auckland’s Grafton Campus.

The 2023 programme features four themed sessions: Covid 19 effects on the eye, including presentations by Drs Michael Wang and Rachael Niederer; Revisiting cataract and presbyopia; Chronicity of external eye disease; and OTC therapeutics – friend or foe? Each set of talks is followed by an interactive panel discussion.

The OTC committee is very excited to offer a full-day, in-person conference again, said co-organiser Associate Professor Ilva Rupenthal, director of the Buchanan Ocular Therapeutics Unit at the University of Auckland. “We look forward to catching up with colleagues and the opportunity to network again and have an excellent line-up of speakers and themes to enhance your practical understanding of important ocular therapeutic aspects. Don’t miss this first educational opportunity of 2023!”

The conference is an in-person-only event; however, the sessions will be recorded and individual online modules will be made available after the conference for a small fee, A/Prof Rupenthal said.
