Taking pride of place on Ophthalmic Instrument Company’s (OIC’s) stand at RANZCO NZ was the new Reticam 3100 Plus, an ultra-widefield (UWF) retinal camera from SysEye.

Launched this year and unveiled for the first time in Australasia, the Reticam 3100 Plus provides a 176° single-shot field-of-view with traditional white-light, true-colour imaging, said OIC’s Tim Way. “It’s true-colour, ultra-widefield imaging at a very affordable entry-level price.”

As well as the UWF true-colour imaging, SysEye’s new Reticam offers one-button operation for binocular capture; non-mydriatic operation, eliminating the need for pupil dilation; soft exposure technology, minimising pupil constriction after exposure; automatic focus adjustment to reduce the risk of user error; an AI-powered system enabling highly precise positioning and quick fundus image acquisition and analysis; high-definition imaging for exceptional image quality; and advanced image processing, including easy lesion area and cup-to-disc ratio measurements, said SysEye.

Aimed at both ophthalmology and optometry, it allows eyecare professionals to easily, and now affordably, expand their retinal images from 45° to 176°, said Way, “providing unprecedented views of the retina and enabling faster and more accurate diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of eye conditions”.
