Bausch + Lomb has launched Ultra One Day, a new silicone hydrogel daily lens that it says provides exceptional comfort and vision to lens wearers.
“We are extremely excited to bring Ultra One Day to contact lens wearers across New Zealand,” said B+L’s key account manager Yvette Beattie from Radiant Health. “This innovative lens takes patients beyond their expectations, providing the most complete silicone hydrogel daily disposable contact lens in the market.”
Unique to Ultra One Day are two breakthrough, patented technologies – Advanced MoistureSeal and ComfortFeel technology, said Beattie. “They work in synergy with the eye’s tear film, enhancing lens wettability, oxygen transmissibility and tear stability while reducing tear osmolarity and lens dehydration, providing patients with exceptional comfort, vision, health and handling.”
For a full 16 hours of wear, these technologies deliver moisture and outstanding comfort designed to promote a stable and healthy ocular environment, she said. “Also, what is pretty awesome is that vision is not sacrificed in the pursuit of comfort and health. B+L has created an optimal optical experience, giving patients exceptional clarity, especially under low light conditions.”
Contact lens discomfort and dry eye is a challenge in everyday practice, so it’s always exciting to have new innovations that can improve a patient’s lens-wearing experience and thus their quality of life, said Adele Jefferies, national clinical manager at Matthews Eyewear Eyecare. “I’m really interested to see how the Ultra One Day lens performs.”
