French JF Rey’s Silmo Paris stand was red hot as the brand celebrated four decades of innovation. Before the party-proper started, the Marseille-based brand had invited an illustrator to sketch its clients wearing JF Rey frames, hosted a fashion show to showcase all its latest styles and more.
One of the highlights, Iconic40, was created especially to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary. The Iconic40 frame pays tribute to JF Rey’s history and spirit of innovation. The unisex optical/sun frame is inspired by the emblematic JF2207 model launched in 2007 and was nicknamed ‘Scorpion’ for its groundbreaking style. Designed as a bridge between heritage and contemporary creation, JF Rey’s Pierre-Yves Chouvet said the limited-edition frame was likely to sell out at Silmo but, for keen collectors, it’s worth checking!
