The Vision Research Foundation is inviting optometrists and ophthalmologists to a dinner seminar in Auckland on 21 February featuring US-based Dr Eve Higginbotham, who will discuss ‘The house of medicine culture: why it matters’ tackling gender and diversity in medicine'.
A practicing glaucoma specialist, Dr Higginbotham is the inaugural vice dean for inclusion and diversity at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, a role she has held since 2013. She is also a senior fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics and professor of ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania.
