Dr Tracey Wong, a medical retina, visual electrophysiology and cataract surgery subspecialist, has joined Eye Surgery Associates (ESA).
“Due to the continued growth and development of the practice, we approached Tracey to see if she would be interested in joining us,” said ESA founder Dr Hussain Patel. “We have all known Tracey for many years and felt that she would be a great fit for the practice. She is lovely to work with and shares our goals of providing excellent eyecare for our patients in a personalised, friendly environment. In addition, her sub-speciality interest of medical retina complements the rest of the team’s sub-specialities well.”
Dr Wong welcomed the appointment as ESA values and looks after people, she said. “They care for patients in the same manner that they would want for themselves or their own family, recognising and appreciating their colleagues in optometry, general practice and other subspecialities. As a team, they help and support each other, including new members like myself.”
Outside of work, her family keeps her busy, said Dr Wong. “If it’s not work time, it’s generally family time. With lockdowns and attempts at home-schooling behind us, my family is spending more time outdoors, enjoying walks, bike rides, swims and ice creams.”
Dr Wong will consult from the Epsom clinic initially but will then extend her work to ESA’s other clinics on the North Shore, in Mt Wellington and in Manukau.
