ONZ launches resource site for members

April 3, 2020 Lesley Springall

The following is an announcement from Ophthalmology New Zealand (ONZ), the leading commercial body for ophthalmologists in New Zealand, representing the interests of Kiwi ophthalmologists and their patients.

FROM THE ONZ BOARD

Covid 19 has brought on a change in our society, workplace and the health arena that is occurring at such a pace we are all finding it difficult to ensure that all we do is in keeping with appropriate legislation, best practice and clinical developments on the virus itself.

ONZ members are as challenged as all at this time, which is why our board is acting quickly to set up a resource site on their website to cover as many potential issues for ophthalmologists as possible. We are also setting up a closed communication loop via a dedicated Facebook page for members, as we feel the need to liaise and learn from each other’s experiences are essential. Members will receive links to all the above in their newsletter.

Our recommendations on policy, links to legislation and some clinical information is on this site, we will continue to add to this repository as more information becomes available. We look forward to our members working together in order to contribute to this information to ensure all have access to the best resources at this trying time. We urge members to go to the site and avail themselves of information that is New Zealand specific.
