Optopol has released a new spectral optical coherence tomography (SOCT) software update (version 10.0.1).

This means that one of the best OCTs in the market today, just got even better, said distributor Optimed’s Craig Norman. “This new software upgrade provides exciting new features like the full range scan which more than doubles the depth of a typical tomogram, allowing you to now scan the entire anterior segment at a width of 16mm and depth of 5mm, improving diagnostics for OCT gonioscopy, glaucoma, IOL position verification and scleral lens fitting.”

The full range can also be used to measure the lens for cataract analysis or to do posterior retinal scans to image the retina, choroid and vitreous for highly myopic eyes, said Norman. “The Revo OCT also comes with the revolutionary AI DeNoise technology, which delivers images with greatly reduced image noise, increased detail and improved visibility, all within milliseconds.”

The latest update has also improved the structure and function reports, the anterior classifier and the user interface, he said, while there are further features available such as OCT biometry, axial length measurements and OCT topography and angiography, “all making the Revo OCT extraordinary as a versatile diagnostic device.”
