Promising bigger and better things, the thrice-moved RANZCO in-person conference in Brisbane is now firmly fixed for Saturday 27 October to Tuesday 1 November 2022 for the 53rd Congress with preparations well underway.
“We could not be happier to have the opportunity to welcome you, not only to sunny Brisbane and the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, but to a physical event!” said scientific programme chair Dr Elsie Chan. “The excitement levels will carry over to create a congress that is teeming with activity.”
The main scientific conference, featuring keynotes paediatric ophthalmologist Professor Frank Martin (Sydney), ophthalmic pathology specialist Professor Sarah Coupland (Liverpool, UK), retina specialist Professor Clare Gilbert (London, UK) and Professor Helen Danesh-Meyer (Auckland), will run concurrently with the Australia Ophthalmic Nurses Association’s one-day conference (29 October), the 78th Orthoptics Australia Annual Conference (29-31 October) and the Practice Managers’ conference (29-31 October). Social highlights include Friday night’s welcome reception, Saturday’s fellow dinner and Sunday’s congress dinner.
