Specsavers has boosted its clinical support capability in New Zealand by appointing Jonathan Payne and Dabin Kim to two newly created roles as clinical performance consultants.
Nick Gidas, Specsavers’ head of clinical performance ANZ, said he is thrilled to have such experienced optometrists on the team whose passions align with the company’s core values. “We’re on a mission to change lives through better sight; having Jonathan and Dabin on the team will result in just that for many New Zealanders. Jonathan has been an optometrist for more than 20 years and has worked in practice, taught and mentored in university settings and has led eye health strategies for multiple optometric businesses.”
Gidas said Kim started her optometry career at Specsavers, so they’re happy to welcome her home again. “She brings a wealth of knowledge, with a critical focus on customer service,” he said.
Replacing Amy Chen, who recently became a Specsavers store partner in Albany, Auckland, Payne and Kim both said they’re looking forward to working with Specsavers store partners and the New Zealand support team. Both joined Specsavers from OPSM, where Payne was a professional services manager and Kim a nationwide float optometrist.
