Britain’s Got Talent judges Alesha Dixon, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden

Anyone watching Britain’s Got Talent or America’s Got Talent recently may have been wondering why judge Simon Cowell is now wearing red tinted lenses. Turns out, rather than a fashion statement, the 64-year-old media and music magnate said he’s suffering from photophobia and migraines.

The red lenses act as a filter, keeping some of the harsh flashing stage lights out, he told mainstream media, adding the glasses are designed for people with migraine and they “actually do work”. When it was suggested the red lenses could become a new fashion trend Cowell quipped that he didn’t think anyone has ever copied his fashion!
