The merger of Essilor and Luxottica to create EssilorLuxottica has been completed.

Executive chairman of EssilorLuxottica Leonardo Del Vecchio said, “We are at the beginning of a new chapter in our history in which we strongly believe, bringing together frames and lenses under the same roof and completing our vertically-integrated business model.” The new worldwide entity has combined revenues of more than €16 billion and employs nearly 150,000 people.
