Specsavers Ipswich (QLD), run by business partners Paul Jewitt, Emma Woolner and Victor Scrooby, is the 2020 recipient of the Specsavers Australia Doug Perkins Medal, recognising consistently high standards of clinical excellence and patient care.
Specsavers Elizabeth (SA), Hollywood (SA), Success (WA), Rockingham (WA), Loganholme (QLD), Runaway Bay (QLD), Burwood (NSW), Nowra Stocklands (NSW), Dubbo (NSW) and Warrnambool (VIC) were also finalists for the award, representing the top 4% of all Specsavers’ Australian stores.
The finalists were selected against Specsavers’ benchmark criteria, patient feedback and health outcomes.
Introduced in 2018, in honour of Specsavers’ founder, The Doug Perkins Medal recognises outstanding performance in delivering exceptional patient outcomes, consistent positive patient feedback, a focus on education and training, delivering consistent quality eye care, a commitment to accessible eye health and collaborative engagement with medicine. It is presented to one Australian and one New Zealand store each year.
