The Independent Optometry Group (IOG) is hosting its optometry business conference, ‘Future vision – embracing disruption, building resilience’, at the Novotel in Queenstown from 14-16 June 2019.
Neil Human, IOG CEO, said he is looking forward to empowering the group’s 47 members with the knowledge and skills to tackle the ever-changing optometry industry and bring them up to speed on how to use all the new tools IOG offers to help members run their businesses smarter.
Two external speakers will present at the conference: Mike Ashby, founder and director of The Breakthrough Company and author of the book, Breakpoints: How to shift your business to the next level, will cover managing disruption; while Alia Bojilova, an industrial and organisational psychologist who was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 2014 for her work with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), will share her expertise on how to build resilience.
The members-only event opens on Friday 14 June with a dinner, followed by two days of conferencing, including a mix of lectures and workshops.
