CooperVision’s free Asia-Pacific Myopia Management Symposium 2024 will take place on 27 October in Seoul, but is also available for virtual attendance for eyecare practitioners seeking to advance their understanding and practice in myopia management. 

The symposium will feature three main sessions: Paradigm Shifts in Understanding Myopia: A deep dive into the etiology of myopia and its impact on patients; Gold Standard in Myopia Interventions: Insights into the latest strategies for effective myopia control, including optical and pharmaceutical treatments; and The Future of Myopia Management: A discussion on innovative approaches and the critical role of early intervention. 

The event includes seminars and panel discussions with leading experts in the field, including Professor Ian Flitcroft, principal investigator at the Centre for Eye Research Ireland, Professor Seung-Hee Baek, general director of Korean Myopia Society and Professor Nicola Logan, director of research for the Optometry and Vision Science Research Group, School of Optometry, Aston University, Birmingham, UK. Sessions will cover a wide range of myopia-related topics, including the use of atropine from East to West, optimising ortho-k in clinics, influence of parental behaviour on myopigenic behaviours and risk.
