Since its inception in 2023, Eyes Right Optical’s sustainable brand Project Green has planted over 3,500 trees globally, with 1,203 trees planted in the Amazon rainforest and a further 2,318 trees as part of the Forest Fire Recovery project in Canada.
For every frame sold, Project Green plants a tree through its partnership with One Tree Planted. The most recent 2,318 trees were strategically planted in areas of Canada’s British Columbia and Alberta, to support the rehabilitation of biodiversity habitats which were heavily affected by wildfires.
Reforestation is recognised as one of the most effective methods to restore lands ravaged by wildfires and Project Green’s contribution underscores its commitment to environmental restoration, said Lisa Wymond, national brands manager at Eyes Right Optical. “By planting these 2,318 trees, Project Green is actively contributing to the restoration of ecosystems devastated by forest fires, ensuring a healthier and more sustainable environment for everyone for generations to come.”
Eyes Right Optical will be showing the latest from Project Green at O-Show 2024 in Sydney in May.
