Specsavers won the gold award in the optometry category in both Australia and New Zealand at the Reader’s Digest 2026 Quality Service Awards.

In New Zealand, Specsavers also won the silver award in the hearing care category.

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognised by our customers for the quality of care we provide,” said Ben Ashby, Specsavers clinical services director. “This award is a testament to the dedication of our optometrists and retail teams across Australia and New Zealand, who consistently go above and beyond to deliver personalised, expert eyecare.”

Reader’s Digest editor-in-chief Louise Waterson noted that the winners represent brands Australians and New Zealanders trust most. “Customer service excellence remains a core indicator of a business’ success and longevity in the market,” she said.

The awards, now in their 12th year, are based on independent research conducted by Catalyst Consultancy & Research, surveying over 4,000 consumers across both countries.
