Dr Stuti Misra, a lecturer in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Auckland, was awarded an Early Career Research Excellence Award (ECREA) at the University’s Celebrating Research Excellence 2018 evening in May.

The ECREA recognises and promotes excellence and research leadership potential among emerging researchers. Dr Misra’s research focuses on ocular surface and imaging in corneal disorders and systemic diseases.

Past ophthalmology department awardees include Professors Helen Danesh-Meyer and Dipika Patel and Dr Ilva Rupenthal.
