Geographic atrophy (GA) is the late manifestation of non-neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) characterised by progressive loss of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and photoreceptors. Until now, it was a slowly progressive untreatable disease that led to vision loss.
