The third World Council of Optometry’s joint conference with the American Academy of Optometry, will be held on 23-27 October this year at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida. The event will feature over 450 hours of clinical education led by distinguished speakers and world-renowned optometrists, offering a wide array of clinically relevant courses and cutting-edge research in vision science, say organisers. Topics include the World Health Organisation’s world report on vision, gene therapy for ocular and neurological diseases, optometry in the face of changing technology, how to address the myopia burden and more.
Attendees can choose from lectures and workshops, 12 special interest group sessions, hundreds of scientific papers and posters as well as many social events.
