Dr Kaasandra Chee

Glaucoma New Zealand (GNZ) welcomed Dr Kaasandra Chee to its board of trustees.

Dr Chee has a PhD in biological science while her postdoctoral research focused on ocular wound healing. She has eight years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector and is currently the fundraising and marketing manager for Tauranga Riding for the Disabled, assisting individuals of differing ability achieve their physical and mental goals through physiotherapy using horses.

Dr Chee said she believes her experience will enable her to make a positive difference to the community that GNZ serves. “I am excited to join the Glaucoma New Zealand Board as I believe that together we can make a difference for people with sight threatening eye disease.”
