The base of model V1829 (featured) is a 4mm plate with a reinforcement on the nosepiece that descends along the outer side of the frame, creating two visually intriguing ‘brackets’. Beside adding interest with contrasting colours on the front and sides, the reinforcement allows for the use of thick lenses without compromising the lightness and thinness of the frame, said the company.
