Ready for the northern hemisphere summer, Ogi has introduced a fresh line of kids’ styles in quirky shapes and colours like summer fruit and flowers. The OK349 in dual-pressed acetate creates a neat high-contrast along the temple and the front of the frame. The OK347 has a light, transparent feel with pastel painting throughout its petite, acetate design, while the OK107 offers fully chromatic hues for maximum contrast with thin stainless steel and adjustable nose pads for comfort.

Face a Face has released a new Bocca range with striking and elegant frames. For the first time ever, the titanium Bocca Song model has the trademark Bocca shoe adorned in metal, “like a drawing in space”, while a delicate double arcade at the front draws light to the eyes. The Bocca 1920s, inspired by the Art Deco movement, has a strong geometric design with a thin, bold-coloured line contouring the eyes and bridge and picked up again on the temple tip trademark shoe.
Titanflex
German-made Titanflex has introduced a new range of classic, masculine, light-weight models. Titanflex frames are up to one third lighter and 10 times more flexible compared to conventional frames, said Eschenbach, maker of Titanflex. The new range, including three timeless styles, is developed using a new type of material called liquid metal. “Liquid metal is a very flexible, high-tech material whose glasslike structure makes it remarkably resistant and elastic, and the unique finish gives the glasses a brilliant surface and means completely new design options are possible,” the company said. “It is strong like titanium, scratch-resistant, rustproof and extremely hard.”
Kiwi distributor, Little Peach’s David Bearpark said Titanflex frames can be offered to every single man who walks into a practice. “Every man will be interested in a frame that is significantly lighter and, accordingly, more comfortable than most others.”
Chopard Palme d’Or
Created especially for this year’s 72nd Cannes Film Festival, all the glamour of film, fashion, art and excellence are expressed in this new jewelled frame created by Chopard. “‘50s inspiration, a cat shape and the allure of the great divas characterise a style perfect for the Promenade de la Croisette,” said the company. Another reference to the Cannes Festival, sponsored by Chopard since 1998, appears in the frame’s prestigious temple, which is shaped like a palm leaf to echo the legendary Palme d'Or trophy Chopard makes every year in its fine jewellery workshop. The special edition frames come complete with elegant pouch-style bag and hat-box-style case, both in gold satin.
