100% Optical 2022, the UK's largest optical event, has been postponed to 23-25 April 2022.
In a statement, organisers Media 10 said that in light of rapidly rising cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 in the UK, and with potential new restrictions in early 2022, the difficult decision was taken to move January's three-day trade show event. The postponed event will remain at the ExCel London venue.
The Association of Optometrists (AOP) have been working with Media 10 on the decision and expressed its full endorsement for the move. Dr Ian Beasley, AOP head of education, said, “I am sure that rescheduling 100% Optical to the spring will be acknowledged by our members as the right decision against the backdrop of such uncertainty. The AOP will now look forward to delivering our comprehensive programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in April, featuring an outstanding line-up of speakers for the new dates.”
Media 10 confirmed that all visitor registrations will automatically be transferred to the new dates.
