CooperVision has launched the Clariti 1 Day multifocal contact lens (CL) in Australia and New Zealand.
The upgraded daily disposable silicone hydrogel lens is designed for presbyopic patients and incorporates the Binocular Progressive System first introduced in CooperVision’s MyDay multifocal lens, the company said.
CooperVision said the CL also features its Optimised Comfort Edge and WetLoc Technology, while the wider Clariti 1 Day portfolio includes spherical, toric and multifocal options. Citing internal 2026 data, the company said use of its fitting guide or OptiExpert achieved fit success with two pairs of lenses or fewer in 98% of MyDay multifocal patients and 100% of Clariti 1 Day multifocal patients.
Michelle North, general manager of CooperVision Australia and New Zealand, said the launch reflected the company’s focus on its silicone hydrogel daily disposable range. “By applying the same advanced lens design introduced in our highly regarded MyDay multifocal, we’re giving optometrists in Australia and New Zealand an excellent product to address the growing needs of presbyopic patients,” she said.
CooperVision ANZ head of professional affairs Joe Tanner said the product was intended to help practitioners fit presbyopic patients more efficiently. “Presbyopic patients often present with a variety of visual needs and the Clariti 1 Day multifocal allows practitioners to deliver better vision and comfort using an efficient fitting approach,” he said.
