A plethora of private and not-for-profit organisations have launched their own Covid-19 resource hubs, including The Lancet, the world-renowned, weekly, peer-reviewed medical journal.
The Lancet’s Coronavirus Resource Centre is free to access and contains all published material relating to Covid-19 from across its more than 10 general and speciality journals. It is designed to “assist health workers and researchers working under challenging conditions to bring this outbreak to a close,” said the publisher.
Editor’s picks include correspondence demonstrating that SARS-CoV-2 directly infects the endothelium, inducing cell apoptosis, providing a rationale for therapies that stabilise the endothelium while tackling viral replication with anti-inflammatory anti-cytokine agents.
