SILMO has launched an optical design contest to stimulate creativity and innovation and reveal the designers of tomorrow’s optics.
A panel of industry specialists led by Italian designer Emmanuel Gallina will gather in September 2022 to select a winner, who will be announced at the SILMO trade fair 23-26 September at Paris Nord Villepinte. The winner and their school will share €10,000 (NZ$16,160) and the honour of having their designs prototyped and exhibited throughout the event.
The competition is open to students enrolled in a design course and who have a level equivalent to or higher than a third-year post-baccalaureate. Submission deadline is 3 June 2022.
