Ten Australian and four New Zealand Specsavers stores are in the running for the annual Doug Perkins Award, this year recognising those who have excelled in providing access to quality eyecare during and after Covid restrictions.
The New Zealand finalists are Blenheim, Hastings, Newmarket and Queenstown. The Australian finalists are Stanhope Gardens and Rouse Hill (New South Wales), Cairns and Hervey Bay Pialba (Queensland), Devonport (Tasmania), Dandenong and Echuca (Victoria), Victor Harbour (South Australia), Livingston (Western Australia) and Canberra (Australian Capital Territory).
The finalists were selected by analysing nationwide data collected through the Specsavers Clinical Report tool and patient feedback, plus Oculo health data and represent the top 4% of all Specsavers stores across Australia and New Zealand.
Introduced in 2018, the Doug Perkins Award is presented to one Australian and one New Zealand store each year in recognition of consistently high standards of clinical excellence and patient care. This year’s winners will be announced at the Specsavers Clinical Conference (SCC) on 18 August.
