Essilor New Zealand has appointed Sam Cho as its new territory manager. A certified dispensing optician (DO), Cho worked for the Matthews Eyewear Eyecare group in Auckland before joining Essilor.
Kumuda Setty, Essilor NZ’s national sales and marketing manager, said she’s excited to have Cho join the team as he brings an “infusion of new energy and ideas”. “Sam’s qualifications as a graduate in teaching and as a dispensing optician is a perfect blend of skill sets needed as a territory manager where a large part of the role is training and guiding other eyecare professionals.”
Having worked in practices for a few years while gaining his DO registration, Cho said he was ready for the next step. “I always wanted to have more exposure to other parts of the optical industry. My ongoing objective is to build a comprehensive relationship with all independent practices and their patients to grow our industry together.”
