Horace in Cadillac has been nominated as the men’s frame of the year at the Love Eyewear Awards taking place at London’s 100% Optical on 25 February.
Despite its chunky appearance, Horace is very lightweight, extremely comfortable to wear and is handcrafted in France from 10mm acrylic, according to its maker Kirk & Kirk. A signature piece of the Centena Collection, the frame celebrates the Kirk family’s century in optics, with each style named after a family member. When Sidney and Percy Kirk set up Kirk Brothers in 1919, they helped establish London as an internationally renowned centre of optical excellence.
“It is all the more poignant for us to be nominated for this prestigious award in London at 100% Optical. London is focal to my family’s love of optics and this means a great deal to us,” said company director Jason Kirk.
