The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) has announced the new theme, Hope in sight, for its popular, annual World Sight Day online photo competition, designed to draw attention to avoidable blindness and vision impairment.
Welcoming submissions from professional and amateur photographers from across the world, the IAPB said it has added an extra category this year to document the impact of Covid-19 on eye health.
Winners in the professional category will win a cash prize of US$1000, while the winning amateur photographer will take home a Canon 1200D DSLR camera. Submissions close on World Sight Day on 8 October 2020.
