Israeli start-up Novasight has raised US$16million to run a large, multicentre, randomised trial for its lazy eye treatment device, Curesight, and support further development of its eye tracking active glasses for myopia control.
"We're excited to receive this vote of confidence and to continue to move forward in battling vision disorders,” said Novasight CEO Ran Yam. "Our products are ideally positioned for remote diagnostics and home treatment."
Novasight’s Curesight tracking system is designed to replace traditional eye patching, providing cloud monitoring to caregivers while the child watches their content of choice from their own home. Other products include its Eyeswift system, a portable vision assessment device which is designed to screen for multiple vision impairments within seconds.
