Augmented reality company Mojo Vision is partnering with prominent sports and fitness brands to collaborate on next-generation user experiences, combining augmented reality, wearable technology and personal performance data.
New partners Adidas Running, Trailforks (cycling/hiking), Wearable X (yoga), Slopes (skiing) and 18Birdies (golf), will work with Mojo to develop its smart contact lens technology, Mojo Lens, improving data access and enhancing athletes’ performance.
Wearable innovation in its existing form is starting to reach its limits and can sometimes distract athletes, taking the focus away from their activity, said David Hobbs, Mojo senior director of product management. “We’re interested in better understanding what’s still missing and how we can make that information accessible without disrupting someone’s focus and flow during training — when it matters most.”
