The National Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists 2022 conference (NACBO) is scheduled for the first weekend of the Australian and New Zealand school holidays, the 9-10 July, at the QT Hotel on Queensland’s Gold Coast. “Join us for a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues without restrictions for the first time in years. Enjoy a sunny family holiday at the beach, while gaining 12 hours of CPD,” said ACBO president Melissa Allen.
The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Visual aspects of reading’, a programme that was presented to Vision Therapy Canada with great acclaim, said Allen. “Optometrists and optometric vision therapists will find keynote Meredith Graham’s analysis of the connections between vision and reading the most comprehensive, up-to-date and clinically applicable information available.”
The programme also covers clinical approaches to myopia management, including atropine and management of visual dysfunctions, reading eye movement recordings and practical vision therapy workshops on the treatment of visual dysfunctions, eye movements and processing issues.
This 2022 conference will be a live event but will also be available online for those who cannot travel to the Gold Coast, with the cost being the same for either attendance. For more, see www.acbo.org.au/professionals/menu/events/162-nacbo-2022
